Halloween is a little more than a month away and for all you DIYers out there that love a good costume, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites! Halloween has always been one of my top-ranked holidays, so be prepared for a few posts centered around this topic. It’s fun, creative and there are no gifts involved-only candy. As a kid it was all about the sugar. As a young adult it was all about the parties. As a parent it is now ALL about dressing up your kiddo in the cutest costumes you can make or get your hands on.
The first year we moved to Minnesota we dressed Oliver as a Viking. It seemed fitting, it was warm and honestly we were so tired it was an easy costume to pull together. The following years we have put a little more thought into it but now it’s becoming even more fun that he can share his own input. I’m still brainstorming on what Stella could be, so I’ve taken to Pinterest for a little inspiration. (Isn’t that where we all go?) Regardless of how the costumes turn out, we host a little pizza party for the neighborhood kids prior to trick-or-treating and I’m really looking forward to it. The kids are all at such a great age for this particular holiday and it allows for some fun adult time as well!
