ollie_99-1024x682 Twenty-thirteen was a year like none other. For many reasons, mainly Oliver’s birth, we experienced all sorts of new things. Experiencing motherhood over this past year has been an amazing journey, so has settling in to Minnesota and it finally feeling like home. Starting new jobs and continuing to learn how to handle the climate have been a few of the adjustments we’ve been able to make, only solidifying our love for our family and each other. We’ve made and revived some real friendships, I turned the big 3-0 and we plan to purchase a home in 2014, the future is exciting and I’m grateful for where we are. I wish all of you a Happy New Year!

[…] 2014 was a good year. We were finally getting our bearings being parents (I think it takes about a year to feel a “new” normal), we purchased our first home and have had a really fun time making it our own. Spending the holidays in our house was really special for us and made the season that much greater. I’m a big fan of resolutions, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized it’s more important to have fewer, more substantial goals and it’s also more realistic. I have three this year: be more thoughtful, be a better blogger and to make more time for exercise. I hope you all have safe and happy New Year’s! To see 2013′s year end review, click here. […]
