Product Review: Birchbox

IMG_4609a I’ve been wanting to try out Birchbox for a while now and since gifting a subscription to a family member, and doing a little more investigating, I finally took the plunge. For a measly $10 a month I get a nice selection of samples, that are personalized for my needs and preferences. Knowing that I probably dump at least the cost of the subscription in drug store binges, I figured it was a no-brainer. It allows me to try out higher end products while eliminating the risk. The Amica Blowout Spray was a really reasonable size that I know will last me for a while. I was super pleased with my first set of samples, and am excited to share with you the details of the items below…

Amika, Blow Up Spray
A lightweight mist that adds lift and major shine for the perfect blowout.

Dr. Jart+ Premium BB Cream (SPF 45)
A cult favorite, this all in one provides light coverage, anti-aging benefits and mega SPF.

Dr. Lipp
Original Nipple Balm for Lips, originally made for nursing moms, this ultra hydrating balm is a makeup artist fave.

Eyeko, Black Magic Mascara
Water-resistant formula that curls, adds volume and has major staying power.

Ruffian, Nail Lacquer (Hedge Fund)
Metallic green from the fashion label’s first lacquer collection (exclusive to Birchbox).
