I have discovered the perfect summer meal. Only in the last few years have I become a fan of mussels, but I feel that my appreciation for them has hit an all -time high this season. Chris and I purchase about 2 lbs. from our locally-owned meat & seafood shop and it’s a whopping $11. Using just white wine, garlic and butter to saute the mussels, we pair the shellfish with a baguette and some home-made bruschetta (recipe below), it’s an amazingly fresh pairing with an Izzie for under $20 for two.
