Well friends, the nursery is finally done. I’m sure it will evolve a little bit over time (I can’t help but keep my eye out for little things here and there) but for now it’s done. I know he won’t be sleeping in his room for a while but I just couldn’t bare it not being complete before his arrival. I think my favorite things are the owl shadowbox that I found and the mobile. The mobile has these little fabric characters that just make me laugh every time I look at them! I think we kept the original design plan, pulling inspiration from vintage storybooks and mainly neutrals with pops of color for character. Last Thursday I found out that Baby “C” may be making his appearance sooner than we thought, I’m already dilated 3 cm and 80% effaced! That news definitely helped kick us into gear in regards to getting ready. I wish I could say that I enjoyed the process of decorating the nursery more, but this was a really tough room for me to decorate. Luckily, I’m very happy with the turn-out and half of the credit definitely goes to my husband who’s patience and handy-man skills played a huge part in pulling it together.
